Dr. Tom Hao Luan is a Lecturer in the School of Information Technology at the Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. From March 2013 to August 2013, he was a visiting research scientist in the Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Luan recieved the Bachelor of Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 2004, MPhil from the the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2007 (through HKUST’s MED program with recommendation from Education Ministry of China and scholarship from Hong Kong Jockey Club, work with Prof. Danny Hin-Kwok Tsang), and Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2012 (work with Prof. Xuemin (Sherman) Shen).
